Ion Liquid Seal Compressor
The worlds first ion liquid seal compressor, independently developed and manufactured in Dondel, innovatively employs a circulating ion liquid system. Driven by a dedicated pump, this liquid seals, lubricates, and cools the piston rings, working in tandem with sealing components to achieve 100% zero leakage in the compression chamber. Its high-pressure, large-displacement design meets the growing demands of increased single-cell hydrogen production and rising pressure requirements for hydrogen storage, transportation, and refueling, effectively driving the large-scale development of the hydrogen energy industry.

Core Advantage

High pressure and large displacement
High single-unit displacement and low energy consumption, perfectly suited for doubling the production capacity of single-tank electrolysis water-to-gas systems and high-pressure storage and transportation requirements.

0 leakage
The ionic liquid is non-volatile and free from abrasive contamination, ensuring that the purity of the compressed hydrogen remains unaffected.

Reduction of comprehensive energy consumption
The dynamic cooling technology of ionic liquid reduces comprehensive energy consumption by 20-30%, with the overall operational energy consumption <1.75kW/kg, achieving annual electricity savings exceeding one million kWh compared to traditional models.

Long maintenance cycle
The unique lubrication method, combined with the exceptional stability of ionic liquids, extends maintenance intervals by threefold and reduces lifecycle maintenance costs by 60%.

24-hour intelligent control
Equipped with PLC+ IoT system, it enables real-time monitoring of multiple parameters including pressure, temperature, and vibration, while supporting remote monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Rapid Deployment Solution
The skid-mounted integrated design combines six major systems including power, cooling, and control, reducing the footprint by 35% and supporting modular expansion for rapid delivery.

Application scenarios of ion liquid seal compressor
Hydrogenation station
According to data from the hydrogen energy industry research institution Xiangchenghui, as of the end of June 2024, China has built 426 hydrogen refueling stations, with 19 newly added in the first half of 2024 alone. The development of the hydrogen energy industry cannot be separated from technological innovation and the improvement of the industrial chain. At present, China has made significant progress in various aspects of hydrogen energy production, storage, transportation, and application. As an important equipment in the stages of hydrogen “production, storage, transportation, refueling, and application”, diaphragm compressors can compress gases with extremely high purity, generally reaching a purity of 99.999%.
Hydrogen production from grey hydrogen and green hydrogen
In the production of hydrogen, sources such as fossil fuels and industrial by-product hydrogen are collectively referred to as grey hydrogen. Hydrogen produced from wind and solar power is collectively referred to as green hydrogen. The liquid compression machine plays a key role in the hydrogen production, which is the hydrogen pressurization and purification and the storage/transportation pre-pressurization. It is the key equipment to ensure the hydrogen production process is efficient, safe and high purity.
Ionic Liquid Sealed Compressor-Application Case
China super-large integrated energy station combining production and hydrogenation
Background and significance:
The integrated energy station is located in the northwest of China, with excellent wind and solar power resources. The project produces hydrogen through wind and solar power, which is then used for hydrogen storage and hydrogen refueling stations. The energy station integrates multiple functions such as hydrogen refueling, charging, gas filling, fueling, and convenient services, making it a super-large integrated energy station in the northwest region.
Provide products and services: 2 ion liquid seal compressors with a designed daily hydrogenation capacity of 2500kg
Project Significance: Our two ion liquid-sealed compressors, featuring large discharge capacity and compact footprint, save over 70% of land area compared to conventional compressors for this integrated energy station, significantly enhancing both economic benefits and land utilization efficiency. Moreover, they maintain stable long-term operation under high-flow conditions (up to 2,500 kg/day of hydrogen production), with low maintenance costs and extended service life.
